Total Lucidity, after a long time, using the sleep/wake/sleep method...

I must shoot myself for not using the sleep/wake/sleep technique all this while. I have used it once successfully and out of ignorance I haven't used it for more a year and have been worrying about not becoming lucid!

The technique was named sleep/wake/sleep or the nap technique (which I found somewhere online). Because one should wake up from sleep, stay awake for a little while and go back to sleep for this method to work. It works great for me. But I feel sleepy at office the next day :-)

So here's what happened...

I was reading about lucid dreaming from Friday and was having a great desire to become lucid. I set the alarm for 3 am yesterday, but after feeling 'lazy' deactivated the alarm before going to bed!.

But fortunately, I woke up feeling something crawling under my back... freaked out. It was a big, black ant! (it was 03:36 am) Since I woke up, I went and had a glass of water and went to the washroom. Once I'm back in bed, I fired up the browser in my mobile phone and read an article about lucid dreaming. When it was almost 20 minutes since I woke up, I switched the light off and went back to sleep.

I started telling myself "I will be aware when I am dreaming...". And (this is the important part) I look for images building up... that is, I just look in the darkness behind my eyelids while i fall asleep for any images I start seeing. Once I start seeing, I try to imagine/project something or some place I want to see in my dream... since I am watching very carefully and because I am reminding myself to be aware when I am dreaming, it happens! I became lucid. 3 or 4 times as I remember. I go straight into a lucid dream.

This is the 1st time, I had some dream characters in the dream.

I was walking on the road when the 1st dream started, I saw a girl walking ahead of me (well, what else a guy needs in a lucid dream lol ). Wearing slacks and a short-sleeved shirt. I looked back and saw a guy walking too. He was the brother of that girl. But who cares, since this is a lucid dream, I went closer to her boldly and started talking to her while walking beside her. I was asking some questions and she was answering me (which I don't remember). I touch her slowly to feel her skin, she blushes, but keeps communicating with me. I feel her buttocks with my hands too. My heart was racing. When I looked back, the brother of the girl was approaching us fast with a frowning face... uh oh! He came closer and pinched me hard on my back. lol.

But I didn't want to hurt him. I am not the type of guy who would go and touch a girl on the road or hit a guy (though I touched a girl in a lucid dream ;-) ). So what I did was, took hold of his hand, lifted him up spin once and threw him over my head (while wishing he should land safely). It was a playground to which he was thrown... so I watched him land in slow-motion as I wished. He too enjoys the 'landing'. He smiles and walks away :-) He didn't bother us after that. I woke up though.

But again I induced a dream the same way, wishing to be in the same place with the girl and it happened. Though she was wearing a different dress and the place looked a little bit different. I took hold of her hand and we ran fast together, giggling... it was fun. And I stopped in a hill and looked at her... she came close to me and we kissed. The 1st kiss in a lucid dream. It felt so real that I could feel my erection in bed (the physical one I mean), while I am in the dream. We walked a couple of steps ahead and I lost the dream again. I couldn't enter it after that.

But I had another lucid dream in another place for a brief period, where I was in a room and wanted to get out of it to try some flying. But my uncle was there in the room and was talking to me. Because I wanted to get out of the room I 'wish' my phone must ring... and it happens! So I excuse him and get out of there (how nice it would be if these things would work in the physical world too... lol). Once I am outside, I start levitating... I feel the cool breeze when I rise up slowly, while gazing at the stars in the sky... but it didn't last for a long time. I woke up.

After that I found it very difficult to sleep, let alone become lucid. So it was the end of a nice session of lucid dreams, after a very long period. I guess I would be lucid more often hereafter. Because my mind is now set in it. Got to control the urge to see women in the dreams though, cos' I am missing out on seeing great landscapes and other interesting things that are only accessible in lucid dreams.

The day at office was a sleepy one for me. Some good portion of sleep is lost because of this technique I guess.

Happy dreaming.

How I get upto the vibrational stage... in simple English

Moments ago, I replied to a post in Astral Pulse forum, to someone who wanted instructions to get started in Astral projection, in plain English.

Since I have experience only in getting upto the vibrational stage successfully, I replied as follows:

I have experience getting upto the vibrations, like this...

1. Prepare your mind (Reading alot about other people's astral experiences will help)

Once in bed...
2. Start repeating in your mind "MIND AWAKE, BODY ASLEEP" (can be done in your native language)
3. Relax your body part by part

you will reach the vibrational stage soon (after falling almost asleep couple times, if done with a real need for projection!)

after that, you will need the guidance of the experts (me too! smiley )

Good luck

Hope it would help someone. Looking forward to the stages beyond vibrations...

Isabella, the stranger in the dream

Had this dream last night...

I was in the town where I went to school, walking through the road that leads to my school. Its a little far from the town and is almost a remote area with full of tall trees, winding narrow roads, hills etc. It's always nice to dream this school-road...

I was having this "where is my car" thought in my mind from the beginning of the dream. As though I don't remember where I left my car (obvious in a dream!)... when passing a curve, I hear a vehicle coming, and I start walking a little more closer to the fence on the side of the road (created with wild plants and barbwire). Since it's almost dark, the vehicle passes me with it's light beaming brightly lighting up the road ahead.

As it passes, I notice a slim, fair girl, seemingly young (like a college girl), coming from a lane and crossing the road ahead of me. She glances at me while crossing the road until she gets to the side of the road on which I am walking.

She walks slow while looking back at me time to time, as though she is expecting to talk to me once I come close to her. As usual, the mind starts fantasizing everything ;-)

I get close and she starts asking me something about computers! Dream characters are so telepathic it seems, they know one's profession in an instant :-) I start walking slowly with her too (she walks to the side of the fence). I explain something politely while thinking of a way to break the ice!

Fortunately I see a small detour on the road ahead of her and because she is concentrating on what I am saying while looking at my face, I casually pull her gently away from the detour towards me by slipping my hand between her arms and hips. Her skin felt soft. She was a little shocked at my bold move, which was evident in her blushed face.

It sparked a sensual bond between us, and I notice she touches my hand time to time too when she agrees on something I say while nodding her head.

Then I think I get too excited... my mind runs wild and I lost focus on the dream and didn't remember what happened for a while.

Again I am walking in the same road leading to the school with a couple of my friends and I happen to pass her house... the roof and the lawn are visible from the road... I look down and see her standing there in the lawn reading something. She looks up and says something similar to "Hi computer guy" (don't remember the correct wordings).

I tell her, "Hi, I'll drop by when I am returning", and I am a little blushed too, since my friends look at my face with a "who the hell is that?" look in their face :-)

I tell them it's Isabella! (I don't even remember how I got to know her name in the first place).

I get to a place where my car is parked. My friends vanish from the dream magically and I start and park the car in another place. Then I walk and see a huge bus. And it is parked right behind a detour. I get into the bus and try my best to start and drive it for a short distance. Turning the steering wheel with all my might to make sure the bus keeps away from the detour. Then I don't remember parking anywhere or getting out of it...

School road again... I walk straight to Isabella's house. She is there inside and I go and have a seat and start chatting with her. While her parents also have a chat with me time to time. Though my mind is all excited whenever she is around (and she seemed to be very interested in me too!), nothing 'happens' between us ;-) damn I should have been lucid.

I remember walking back towards the town thinking "I have been looking for the perfect girlfriend everywhere in the world, while she has been living right next to my school all these years..."

That's all I remember about the dream. I felt as if I am missing her already, when I woke up. Wish I can see her again in a dream. Well, it would be even better if I see her in real life ;-) I might freak out if someone named Isabella comes and talks to me tomorrow though... lol

Happy dreaming...

"Waking Life" the movie about dreams and lucid dreams

I happen to watch a movie about dreams after a long long time... actually it was after "The Matrix". This isn't an action movie though.

"Waking Life" tells the story of a young man who drifts in an out of a cycle of dreams, trying hard to wake up for real... he is so frustrated because he could not wake up breaking the chain of dreams and lucid dreams.

But hey, if it was me, I will never want to wake up from a lucid dream... It's a dream of everyone to have lucid dreams continuously like that ;-)

It addresses philosophical ideas in depth too... And this movie launched or brought back the desire to have lucid dreams back in me. So I recommend this to every lucid dreaming enthusiast.

What's more, I discovered a new musician (new to me)... Guy Forsyth, from this movie (yes he plays as a dream character in a scene too). I really liked the way he played the Mandolin, or some instrument like that :-) in the movie scene while talking about dreams with the movie's main character.

The video editing is so cool. They have used a technique that makes the whole movie look almost like a dream.

There was a scene where the main character meets a hot girl, and they start kissing... And I thought, well, this is a lucid dream and he is going to make love to her, but he wakes up in the middle of the kiss, as it happens to all of us ;-) God only knows why we tend to snap out of a lucid dream and wake up suddenly when we are excited seeing a hot girl in a lucid dream ;-)

Anyway, this is a cool movie, that every 'dreamer' should watch.

Happy dreaming.

A way to increase lucid dreams, from Paul Brunton the philosopher

I remember the day I had my first lucid dream... I was actually shocked recently when I remembered about the incident back in around year 2003. Because of the ease with which I have achieved lucidity back then.

Even though I haven't read much about lucid dreams or even had no access to the Internet, the lucid dreaming experience came within 3 days, after I read (an practiced!) an interesting technique in a book that was not related to lucid dreaming.

It was non other than the book named "Wisdom Of The Overself" by Paul Brunton, a European philosopher. Who talked about meditation, religion etc.

His technique was simple. When one gets onto bed at night, he asks to close the eyes as we would normally do and to relax the whole body (usual stuff). We should try to calm our minds and think of the day's incidents in sequential order...

The only thing I don't remember is whether he asked to go through the events in reverse order or to start from morning and come upto the moment we got onto bed.

I will update if I get to know that bit soon, if I get my hands on that book again (I couldn't find the book where I live... I used to read the book in a public library back then)

Anyway, in summary, when I had little experience in reading about stuff like lucid dreaming and astral projection, his technique yeilded results within 3 days. That was the amazing fact I remember. But please remember that he is not a lucid dreaming or astral projection guru.

Happy dreaming...

Another chain of nonsense :-)

Had a night of uncontrollable dreams... the kind that has no link between each other, and no sense at all...

I was in my home town, in the previous house our family owned. It was so long since I saw this house in a dream. My car has been parked but somebody in the neighborhood has taken it for a ride and I was annoyed about it. It lasted only a while and suddenly I was walking along the roads of my home town... in the city wearing an Indian sarong and covering my head and bust with a bead sheet! It felt very cold. This is because I was really cuddled in bed under a bed sheet in a cold night... I think that is the reason for this bed sheet covered walk in the dream :-)

When this scene changed, I was in my car... driving happily in the roads of my home town... there was no much traffic as usual and I was enjoying the ride thinking, "its always a bliss to drive in the roads of my hometown". I really felt happy about the lack of traffic. Because I live in a place where traffic jams are a common thing.

Then I was walking near a playground where there were so many people standing in bunches talking to each other. I see in the middle of the playground a bunch of guys who looked like thugs harrasing someone... in an intant I started to behave like a policeman and went and started insulting them (the thugs). The guys were scared seeing me and I was playing the 'macho man' role for a while, rescuing the innocent civilian who was harrassed by them.

Again the scene changes and I am entering a silent house... creeping into a room, there was someone hiding behind the door... someone who was very nervous, holding a knife! I was with a weird kind of knife too and in the other hand i was holding a gun. I calm the nervous man and become friends with him and have tea with him! ;-)

There appears a girl I know well, she talks to me about something serious, and leaves. When I come out of the house, I am standing infront of our previous family house again. Somebody was driving my car there in front of the house, trying to park in in a corner. That person had a swollen skull!

Then I am inside our previous house and somebody knock the door. I see through the hole and see that its the 2 kids I knew from across town. The younger one, a girl is now grown a bit and looked cute. They come inside and thats all I remember about them...

I am standing again in town and see someone selling lottery... I go there and try to buy a lottery ticket and find that the document looks weired.. something like a passport. I find it hard to understand but I buy one and leave there...

The above dreams were coming in a sequence... God only knows why dreams make no sense sometimes ;-)

Hope I would become lucid soon...

Woman in lingerie with puppies

I remember seeing a furry Pomeranian dog as the profile picture of a friend in facebook during the day. The dog was white in color and was so cute. I commented in a happy note in my friend's profile.

This must have been the reason why I saw a dream featuring white Pomeranian dogs! It was not just a cute innocent dream because it featured cute puppies. It was a little bit of a sexy dream too since I saw a very gorgeous woman in my dream after a long long time. In fact I should say this is the 1st time I saw such a sexy woman in such a glamorous dress in my dream, coupled with two cute furry puppies to add to the excitement.

It went like this...

I was walking through a small jungle, in a not-so-good mood (I would have been in a good mode if I was lucid, because now, when thinking back about the jungle, it was an awesome place). I came to a house in the middle of the jungle and went inside, as though I am familiar with the place. The house was located next to a road above. From this house I can see 2 more houses (only the top part of them because this house was located below the road).

I saw a white Pomeranian puppy running through the road to the far right and was sniffing below as though she is getting ready to pee. And because I peeped in the window to take a look at her, the puppy sees me and looks at me curiously with those innocent eyes. At the same time... here's the best part... I see someone, coming down the road from the house at the top of the road, walking fast to keep up with a another white Pomeranian puppy. It was a woman. She was wearing silky white see-through long-sleeved big shirt on top... buttons open, which covered up to her knee. She was wearing a "Victoria's secret" style lingerie (it appears that she has put on the shirt just to come out of the house, which does nothing to cover her beauty and the lingerie since its a silky thin see-through shirt and the buttons are all open too)

She had a great figure, a tight body. I could clearly see the lean muscles in her thighs when she was walking fast to catch up with the puppy, coming closer and closer to my house. I was watching through the window and now I move to the door to get a good look (my heart beats faster and I can feel my erection in my pants out of the excitement of seeing a gorgeous woman in lingerie). Only then I notice that she is holding a pan or a plate in her hand. It seems she is feeding food to the puppy and she is chasing her everywhere begging it to eat... how sweet.

The puppy stops right on top of my house and she also comes near the puppy, to the edge of the road. Now I can clearly see the workings in her dress... the sewing has artistic patterns that are open which shows her soft skin nicely. She has great looking breasts and great legs. She smiles at me and we talked. She was telling something about the two puppies and I was responding politely too. I don't remember the conversation well, as I did when I was awake on the day I saw the dream... maybe I should blog about the dreams on the same day or should record the details on the phone before I get out of bed.

She then says goodbye and turns her back towards me to return to her place... I see more patterns in the lingerie through her see-through shirt... and her buttocks had great curves and I notice how tight her body was. She had an athletic figure.

I wish I can see her again in a dream... better if it's a lucid dream so that I can plan the encounter well ;-)

Dream on...

Fish and crocodiles...

Saw this dream during the early hours as I remember. The place looked like a shrine of some sort. I was walking up on a steep road, where to my right side, I saw a tall wall. That's where I saw this scary and weird thing...

There were huge fish... so huge like sharks. But they are not sharks. They looked like normal salmon fish, but enlarged!. They are not in water either. They are just 'put' there next to the wall on top of each other. So that there are 3 or 4 fish at the bottom and a couple of fish on top of those 3 or 4 and a another 3 on top, likewise.

There was a artificial waterfall that poured water from atop the wall so that these fish stayed alive. They were all slippery and struggled to escape, while an equally huge crocodile which was on top of them all, was feeding on them. Taking huge chunks of the fish each time.

Felt awkward when I was awake, thinking about this dream. I was a little frustrated too, because its been a while since I became lucid while dreaming. Maybe its because I did not update this dream journal. They say, dream journals are the best way to train our minds to remember dreams.

Got to keep at it from today at least...

Happy dreaming.

Mixed dreams

AJ misbehaving! - Normal Dream

There was this weired dream, where I saw AJ, the one whom I respect so much in bed playing with a baby. Initially it was a normal dream, but suddenly I had this suspicious feeling about his intention... and finally it turned out that my suspicion was right... he had the baby sit on his lap and started behaving in a suspicious way. It was disgusting.

Felt very awkward when I woke up after the dream and then it was really funny to think about the dream when I was wide awake. But decided not to tell about it to AJ, who as I said earlier, is someone I respect much. Which means, the dream has nothing to do with his real good character.

Speeding past a train - Half Lucid

I was walking through a narrow valley, where others in carts and all sort of unknown vehicles were travelling slowly too... in a couple of moments, the crowd was converted to a train (you all would have experienced such transformations of things and people in dreams!). The train was speeding a little. I was watching it go passing me...

Suddenly, I think I realized I am dreaming. Because, I got these thought in my mind "seeing a train go passing you in a dream is a sign of missing something in life". As soon as I got that thought in my mind, I get worried. Thinking that I am gonna miss something. Suddenly out of the need to change the dream into a positive sign (a sign of success), I start to fly! So fast passing the train, up and above... so fast that within seconds the train looks like a worm in the ground from far above the sky where I am hovering... Now I become happy, having changed the dream into a sign of success, because they say "Flying is a sign of success and peace of mind"
